About us

Founded in 1904

Richard George founded the firm around 1904, initially trading under his own name. He was later joined by H.L.D. Jenkins, and together they formed Richard George & Jenkins. The firm began operating from Old Bank Chambers, High Street, Newtown, where it has remained an ever-present name on the High Street. As a rural practice in Mid Wales, the firm quickly gained recognition in the local legal community. It built a strong foundation in conveyancing, probate, and various types of litigation, including criminal advocacy in the local Magistrates’ Court. The firm also handled cases in the Industrial Tribunal, High Court, and County Court.
